Maria Kitsou

Maria Kitsou (August 5, 1979) is a Greek actress, a graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre.
In 2009, she starred in the television series Karyotakis, embodying the face of the poet Maria Polydouri. In 2012, she won the Melina Merkouri Award for her performance in "Orphans" by Dennis Kelly, directed by Vangelis Theodoropoulos, at the theater of Neos Kosmos. She was also nominated for the same award in 2008, for her performance in Maxim Gorky's "At the Bottom". In 2014, she won the 1st Prize for Best Female Performance at the 2nd All4fun Audience Theatrical Awards for her performance in the play "Armadale" directed by Constantinos Aspiotis.
