Randall Kaplan

Randall Kaplan was drawn into uncanny territory at a very young age and has since used it to fuel his work. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Randall was always very sensitive to his surroundings, and the thoughts and feelings they would give him. Much of what frightened or deeply disturbed him as a child he now uses as inspiration for his art. He’s worked in multiple mediums—spanning live action film, animation, painting and illustration.Back in 2009, his short horror films made in college were compiled into the anthology ‘Beneath the Flesh’, distributed by Pathfinder Pictures.Upon the release of the DVD, Turner Classic Movies said on their website of the films; “Kaplan expertly blends the uncanny, grotesque, and the touching”.
